Shuffling my already shuffled playlist and playing the same songs over

Hello Spotify and the Spotify community,
I have a problem where the app continues to shuffle my playlists that have already been shuffled and playing. This also causes the same songs to play over and over again so I can’t even listen to all of my songs in my playlists. Can someone please help with this or I will unfortunately have to move over to Apple Music. Thank you!

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community.

This indeed sounds odd and we'll do our best to help you out. 

Could you try to log out > restart your device  > log back two times in a row to see if that makes any difference for you?

It's also a good idea to try clearing your cache to remove any old files that might be interfering with the app's performance.
 

In case the issue persists, could you ask a friend or a family member to log in on your device and test this out to see if the app behaves the same way?

On another note, it's also worth checking our Ongoing issue that is under investigation right now. If you think that your problem is the same, feel to leave your details like your device's model and OS version, along with the Spotify version you're currently running. Don't forgot to mention when you first noticed this.
