My Question or Issue

Basically, the Spotify app has been freezing these past couple of days upon opening it. Sometimes I am able to scroll down a bit, but whenever I try to tap/open anything, it immediately freezes. Awhile after the Spotify app freezing, my phone sends me a pop up saying "Spotify isn't responding" with the options to stop the app, wait, or send feedback.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, clearing the cache, logging out of all devices through the desktop (when this happens and I open the Spotify app, it automatically logs in then immediately freezes), a combination of these methods, nothing works.

I have had minor issues with the Spotify app before this. For example, when I'm using another app while Spotify is playing and I pull down the notification bar thing so that I can skip to the next song, the music plays normally however visually the album cover would stay the same even when the song ended and would move onto the next sing. There would be times where the music would continue playing after I closed the app, and I would have to open the app again which would stop it automatically. I'm unsure if this has any correlation with my current issue.

Reboot.

How do I reboot?

Hey @AM74,

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community.

We appreciate the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. Just to be clear, when you reinstalled, did you use this guide? We recommend the steps there as they are more thorough. Restarting your device afterwards as @Piotr2000 suggested is also a good idea. This is usually done by holding down the power button on your device, but if you encounter any difficulties, we recommend reaching out to the manufacturer for more help.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted on how you get on.
