Spotify - Behind company firewall - IT Admin

Spotify - Behind company firewall - IT Admin

Hello and good day;

I am an IT administrator for a small company and we have just recently got a dedicated line and also set up/installed a hardware firewall. I have set up NAT and security policies, the network is running very nicely, including the IP phones.

However, i am running into an issue with spotify (which we allow across the wrokplace) in that at first it said 'This track is not available in your country'. After a restart it now simply says 'Can't play the current track.'. Also for some reason youtube videos are blocked but as far as I am aware they are sent via port 80 with HTTP traffic which is not blocked in any way.

Even with all policy rules disabled and an 'allow all' policy running, the issue persists. A bit of a google around and looking through the answers on here, I can't seem to find a solution.

Firewall:

Zyxel USG40

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Dan.

EDIT:

Also to clarify, looking into the logs of the firewall, no where is the traffic being blocked. I reverse dns'd the cdn and found a range of IP's that the computer was contacting as well as ports. But none of them were reporting to have any kind of issues. Just an active connection.

EDIT2:

Another thing to note, is that when mobile data is off and I am connected via wifi, my phone can still play videos and spotify music without issue.

EDIT3:

It seems to be isolated to just one machine which is interesting...
