My Question or Issue

This topic has been discussed in many other threads for years now but it is still an issue.

If I allow a guest/friend to connect their phone to my WiFi network and play via their own spotify account to my connect enabled speakers, when they leave my network they are still able to play music to my speakers from anywhere without me being able to control or disconnect them!

Without rehashing what a bad idea everyone seems to agree this is, I have seen some information in the link below that suggests there is an auto disconnect timeout.  I'm hoping somebody from Spotify can confirm what this timeout is as I have set up a test phone with a test Spotify account, connected to my home speaker and then left this phone at work, 4 days later and i'm still able to stream music to my speakers at home any time I like and it has not auto disconnected!

One of many articles asking about this issue:

Can’t revoke remote control of Spotify Connect spe... - The Spotify Community

The only thing that does kick the guest off is another device playing something to those same speakers but again - this requires some intervention from me and I have to be home to do it, I don't feel after any more than an hour or so that guests who have left my home should still be able to play to my home connect enabled speakers.

NOTE - other suggestions by Spotify support have been to "sign out".  Spotify's own support articles state that this does not force disconnect from cached speakers, only devices they have actually logged into and again relies on the guest to do the right thing, I still have no control.

Another suggestion was to reset the speakers - again why should I need to do this.

A third suggestion is to tick show local devices only on the guest device - yet again, relying on the guest to do the right thing, if they don't they still have control of my speakers after they leave my home.

Thanks!
