Spotify Connect device removed but still showing

My Question or Issue

I have removed a device (sold an Amazon Echo) but it's still showing in my list of Spotify Connect devices. It's greyed out so I cannot select the ... button and choose "Forget device" on iPhone, I can do this on the Windows app but it doesn't remove the device from the list. 

I've removed the device from the Amazon Alexa app, readded and given it a new name. Now I have both the new and old devices. I've removed the Spotify skill from Alexa app, no change. I've done a clean installation on the iOS app and still have the same issue. 

I want to remove the device from the Connect list as I've got two called the same thing and it's using the correct name.

Thanks for reaching out!
Could you tell us how you've removed the device from the Alexa app? 
What you should normally do is press on "deregister" - the option on the right of the device: 

Even if you've done this already, don't worry! The device should disappear from your Connect list on its own when unused.
We just can't give you an exact timeframe in which this will happen.

With this aside though, we were also wondering if the old Echo is a part of a speaker group. If this is so, you can try removing it from there as well to see if that would make a difference 🙂
