Spotify Crashing when entering playlist (Marantz reciever)

Spotify Crashing when entering playlist (Marantz reciever)

I'm using Spotify premium through Marantz SR7007 reciever. All worked fine untill couple weeks ago the Spotify client started to behave oddly. The client crashes every time when i start to play a song from a playlist and then hit the back -button (when i try to go back to playlist). Crashing means that i get a short blink of a green screen and then the system "resets". I have the latest firmware on Marantz, I have resetted my spotify account, resetted Marantz receiver and reconfigured the network settings on Marantz. Reconfiguring network (from Marantz settings) helps, but only for a shot time (till I shut down the reciever and start it again). Media server and other network apps are working well. I wonder if the problem is related to the latest spotify update (because the client used to work as it should).

 

I don't have any Android or IPad apps installed; I use build in Spotify interface (reciever)

I have exactly the same question. I have also tried to get help via twitter, to no avail. Can anyone from spotify or marantz please address this issue? There is no point for me in paying spotify if it does not run on my marantz.

Can I ask if you've ever got this issue fixed? I have exactly the same problem with my SR6008. Spotify was working fine for almost a year and suddently since last month I started getting that green screen. Contacted both Spotify and Marantz, but no help from them. The unit is under warranty, I can get it repaired, but I'd have to send it over to their authorised centre, which I'd like to avoid.

 

I'd appreciate any feedback on this.

I never found working solution at all. Last one i tried was to wipe off
complete spotify playlist and reset amp to no avail.
To be honest i dont think amp is at fault . Could be rather to do with
software related issue but neither of them will admit it ...sadly i quit my
spotify subscrition in the end

Ehh that's not good to hear. I've also tried all different reset types (factory, network) without success. I haven't tried removing playlists, but it would be really weird if that was the cause.

I'm thinking now - if the problem is with my Spotify account, I should see the same green screen on any Marantz unit. Something to check with Marantz support.

Could be that spotify updated software and marantz hasnt done that and therefore it isnt working anymore.
I had this with lovefilm when they updated software making my tv not supported anymore ...
