My Question or Issue

 

After a recent update to the Spotify app for Garmin; downloading and syncing music no longer works.  the Spotify app complains that "no known wifi networks found"  Testing the wifi connection on the watch shows that wifi connects fine every time; it's just the Spotify app that refuses to connect. I've tried everything to fix the issue from hard resetting the watch to resetting my wifi router, removing and reentering the wifi connection info to uninstalling and reinstalling Spotify app.   Unfortunately in trying to fix the problem, I uninstalled and reinstalled Spotify on the watch and logged out and back in.  This caused me to lose all of the stored music on the watch and it still will not download any music; so I cannot listen to Spotify at all from my watch.  This watch was the reason I subscribed to Spotify premium; so if you cannot or will not fix the Garmin app , then I have no reason to continue my Premium subscription.  Also, I am not the only person to experience this.  There are multiple people on the Garmin forums reporting this issue, and also in the reviews for the Spotify app in the Garmin store numerous people are encountering this same problem.

The troubleshooting steps that you've tried so far are very good. Could you please share with us the following? We'll look into this further.

  • Are there any changes if you try with another account?
  • Does another internet connection make a difference?
  • A screenshot of the error message.
  • Device + OS version
  • Exact Spotify version
