My Question or Issue

I joined a blend playlist with 7 other people, and not a single song added to the playlist was added for me. What is the point of blends if you’re going to have people join them and then not have any music added for them?

to test the issue further, I created a blend with a subset of that original group, so it’s just me and 3 other people. Initially I had songs in the playlist, but as each person joined I had less and less songs until there were only 3 songs added for me out of the 50 or so total. Why isn’t there an even distribution? I feel like the messaging of blends is togetherness but this has been the opposite experience for me.

I listen to Spotify daily and have had Spotify for over a decade so I can’t imagine that there’s not enough listening data for me, but not something I’ve ruled out. Really my question is, how is the song distribution decided, and why is it not just an even split?

Hey @q3_g8-r2lthln,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

We're sorry to know that you're experiencing inconveniences while using the app. We don't have any info about how blends are distributed at the moment.

That being said, in this case, you can create a free test account on your end and try to join a blend with that account to check if you notice any difference in the performance of the blend in general terms.

On another note, we'd suggest you listen to as much content as possible on your account. Blends update regularly, so make sure you're listening to music with the Private Session feature off. Continue to listen to different artists while also searching for new music in the search bar.

Let us know how it goes!

I was invited to join a group's Blended Playlist. There are a total of 4 people on this playlist, including myself. When I accepted the invitation, I didn't see any of my songs on the list but I did see songs from all three of the other users. My highest match is 65% and my lowest is 54%, so I know I have plenty of music in common with this group. This playlist has been live for 2 weeks now, and I still don't see any music from me on the playlist. I have left and rejoined the playlist numerous times - it does not help.

Then, I created a new playlist with me and one other person. I am having the same problem. How can I fix?
