Spotify connect is illegal

Spotify connect is illegal

What you are doing is illegal, you have to know that!! I am renting out my apartment at AirBnB as result all of my guest gets permanent access to my speaker, even if i dont even use Spotify.

Even if i have never heard of Spotify. You just give them the keys to my speakers.

I dont care if you think i do it on purpose when i give them access to my network, you can have all the twisted opinions you want to have.

consider this, i have actually set up a guest network, but i can not stop my guests form connecting directly in to the wall. And now they can harass me when i live there and other guests when they do.
I know for a fact that this is illegal at least in Norway and since you are a Swedish based company you should be totally in the awares to!

I became aware of this today, and tomorrow monday morning i will act and report you to 3 government institutions 1. datatilsynet( institute for surveillance) 2. forbrukerrådet( institute for consumer rights and 3. the Police(if i can and if the other institutes advice me to)

i suggest everyone that dont want Spotify to continue illegal practices and give 3rd parties an open network line in to your speaker to also report them wherever you can.

i always thought this was a neat function, but today i realized the absolute madness of this function not being moderated in the slightest.

I set up a new router today, even tried with a guest network on the same router, guess what?!

spotify still finds my speakers and hands over access, this is so incredibly outrageous, it is like digital rape, extreme invasion of privacy, i know this will earn you daily fines at least in Norway, and form the EU. I feel entitled to some of that money for damages, and for emotional stress, and for my setting up and buying a router to no avail.

Fix it! I should not ask you to obey the law!!

That is something you should want to do all on your own!
