Spotify keeps skipping halfway through on iOS and desktop, online or offline

My Question or Issue

Spotify keeps skipping to random tracks I have never heard of before, at different times during the tracks. I will be listening and at a random point (e.g. 5 seconds, 55 seconds, etc) it suddenly skips to a different track, not in my playlist.

On my mobile I have tried: turning off shuffle (although it defaults back to 'on'), logging out of all devices, clearing the cache, restarting my device, uninstalling the app and reinstalling, using mobile data rather than WiFi, offline mode, turning off autoplay. All of this happens whether listening to a playlist, an album or a single track.

Using the mobile player I have tried the same where applicable but the same problem occurs.

Spotify will also start playing songs without me pressing play; in troubleshooting the above I have had the app open but paused on a song then all of a sudden it will start playing a random track and continue to shuffle randomly).

This has made Spotify unusable so any help would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your account might be logged in on another device or someone else has gained access to it.
