Spotify opens in Windows with a black screen and no visibility to playlists

Solved!

Spotify opens in Windows with a black screen and no visibility to playlists

Spotify opens in Windows with a black screen and no visibility to playlists or functionality.  I've uninstalled application and reinstalled new version.  I've opened using IE and Google.  I checked the hidden files and there are no dump files or crash report. No luck on any of these...please help!

I have the same problem 😞

Try installing spotify from another windows user. After that it should be working fine. I had the same problem and this is how I managed to "fix" it

Same problem for me- Un-install + install did not help.

We are having the very same issue.

I have tried numerous uninstalls and reinstalls with no luck.  Any other suggestions would be much apprecdiated.

Yes - This worked for me, too!

Thanks!

It worked for me.

Under Windows 8, right click on the Spotify icon-> Properties:

Under Compatibility tab: select "Compatibility= Windows 7"

And that's it.
