My Question or Issue

I had a 2017 Hyundai sonata SE and after a while, every time I connected my phone to it via Bluetooth in the morning the Spotify player would glitch. It only displayed the song that was last playing. When the next song popped up it still showed the previous song. This problem would then extend to my phone where it just showed the song that was last played. Another issue this caused was I was not able to pause any songs at all. When I would then turn my car off and disconnect it, Spotify would continue to play on my phone with no way to pause/stop it. The only way to fix it is to power cycle my phone.

I just bought a 2019 Subaru outback and this problem didn't go away so I don't think it's the cars fault. This problem doesn't happen throughout the day when I connect to my car after I've reset it due to the first glitch occurrence. This problem doesn't happen when I connect to any other Bluetooth devices. My app is fully updated. Reinstalling the app didnt fix it.

Hey there @marqcoffee

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community, and welcome 🙂

We understand you’ve already tried reinstalling. However, we’d like to suggest a clean reinstall as this is more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful to get rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

If this doesn't do the trick, could you send over a picture or a video where we can take a better look at what you're seeing from your end? You can attach them using the Insert Photos or Insert Video option in the post editor.

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.
