Starting a song from browser issue

When i want to start a song in the browser it says "Spotify cant play this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it" for 3,4 songs skipping along the way until it starts a song. The weird part is i can click the "previous" button to start the songs that it skipped.

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome. 

In this case, we'd like to gather some additional info. Would you mind sharing with us the make/model and OS of the device on which you noticed this behavior? We'd suggest making sure the browser you're using is up-to-date.

On another note, would you mind checking if you can replicate this behavior while using a different browser? Just to confirm, are you using Connect to control the playback from a different device? 

Lastly, do you use a VPN? If yes, try switching it off to see if you notice any changes. Keep in mind Spotify doesn't officially support VPN. This means that issues with the app while using VPN are expected behavior.

Other browsers work fine. I use win11. Model of device unnecessary. I asked it on the browsers github and they said it was due to widevine signing which was not possible for an open source hobby project. Well i guess thorium will be a no go for me 😕
