Hi there,
Thanks for the post.
Currently there is no way to block certain podcasts from playing.
If this same podcast plays every time a song finishes, it's most likely loaded up in your queue. I'd suggest opening the play Queue and clicking on 'Clear Queue' this should be available on Desktop and Mobile.
Hope this helps.
There is a way. Select song from any playlist, and select "Play song radio". Stop it. Now everything will work.

LET US BLOCK THE STUFF WE DONT WANT TO HEAR!
LET US DECIDE FOR OUR SELVES!
ITS AN EASY 10 LINE CODE TWO ENABLE USERS TO BLOCK PODCAST, ITS NOT QUANTUM COMPUTING.
IF YOU DONT LET PEOPLE BLOCK PODCAST, PEOPLE WILL GO TO BETTER SERVICES, BECAUASE THIS IS JUST STUPID AND NOT BECAUSE OF LIMITATIONS. EVEYR TIME A PODCAST ENDS, I GET THE SAME RACIST PODCAST PLAYED AFTERWARDS. SO WHEN I HAVE KIDS OVER, I CANT LISTEN TO PODCAST. THATS JUST STUPID. I WANT TO USE YOUR PRODUCT, BUT I CANT - UNLESS I WANT KIDS TO HEAR THE N WORD BY ACCIDENT, IF IM NOT AWARE THE PODCAST HAS ENDED AND THE RACIST ONE HAS STARTED.
I have the same problem, Alex. This is absolutely ridiculous, I can't believe I pay money for them to keep forcing me to listen to a football podcast that I have less than 0 interest in.
Hi @Lethologica,
Thanks for posting on the Community!
It's possible for podcasts to appear on your Home feed or in the play queue once they've been started. You can, however, mark episodes as played. This should remove them from the queue while you're listening to podcasts, meaning that the episode will no longer play after another one ends. Just go to Your library > Podcasts & Shows > New episodes > Click on the checkmark on the right side.
If you want to play only a specific episode, you can open it from the list of all episodes and then hit Play - the app will not queue the rest, just make sure that Autoplay is disabled.
For other suggestions on how to remove podcasts it's worth having a look at this page. There's also this idea which you may find interesting, so feel free to check it out, if you haven't already. Note that despite its current status, the idea is open for voting and you can still leave a thumbs up. We revisit such ideas on regular intervals and it just might be that their time would be right in the future.
Cheers!
It's SO annoying when new episodes of podcasts I started listening to and decided I didn't like start autoplaying.
Two solutions:
I've been trying to find a solution to removing a podcast from my list or from automatically playing. I've tried to find block buttons, hide buttons, thumbs down buttons to no avail. I figured I would take it to Google because somebody would have a solution, so it's incredibly frustrating to read threads and threads of people with the same issue here and on reddit with zero solution or ETA on a solution for the platform. I listened to a podcast I'm not at all interested in to support my boyfriend who was a guest on the show. Now every time I listen to the one podcast I do like to listen to regularly, it constantly plays after the newest podcast episode is over. I also worry that because it's automatically the next one to play the algorithm will think I like the podcast and refer me to more like it. It looks like the only solution is listening to more podcasts (which I'm not really interested in doing) or turning off autoplay, but I like to keep that on because that feature is beneficial when I listen to music. Being able to disable or remove podcasts from automatically playing or from being listed as 'your shows' would be an sought-after feature that would make the premium price of Spotify worth it. It would also probably make me and others interested in exploring more podcasts because we wouldn't fear that we would get stuck with it autoplaying constantly. Fingers crossed a block or remove feature is integrated soon.
then they just end up back in my queue next week when they make a new episode so this is no kind of solution. Spotify is never going to get the return on their Joe Rogan investment and are only alienating its users by not giving us the option to block podcasts

My Question or Issue
Recently I noticed that podcasts I'm listening to are playing in disorder and instead of next episode, start playing previous episode or even completely different podcast I follow and random episode start playing. Anyone else with similar experience?
I'm also super frustrated by this. It would be nice to be able to listen to podcasts, music, and audiobooks all on one app, but the functionality for this really sucks. Spotify does not seem to consider the way that various users want to do this.
For me, I want to have a podcast-specific cue separate from music (same for audiobooks). I want to be able to listen to part of something, then jump to music, and then jump back to where I left off on one or more episodes. It should be much easier to manage my content and get to what I want; instead I keep having to fumble between things, and have this dumb issue with autoplaying podcasts when I'm just in the mood for music on that given day...
I'll be looking for alternatives.
My issue is that certain horror podcasts come up while my child listens to his kid's story podcasts. I don't listen to these podcasts on Spotify (but on other podcast apps). So why is Spotify keep pushing them when I've never listened to them on Spotify? You're scaring the **bleep** out of my kid.
I've beem having the same problem. It used to be that whenever the latest episode of a podcast I follow ended, it would automatically start playing the latest (not yet listened to) episode of another podcast I follow. Then at some point, Spotify apparently decided that I'm the biggest fan of a podcast I can't stand and do not follow. It's also not even remotely similar to the podcast that just ended. Now everytime I finish a podcast episode, despite there being new episodes I have yet to listen to for several other (way more similar) podcasts that I follow, Spotify always plays that specific podcast I hate (and don't follow, have never followed, and likely only ever listened to one or two episodes that autoplayed after I fell asleep). I used to love the autoplay feature, but now it's just become a nuisance. I just want it to function logically like it did before. Also, now Spotify is apparently so convinced that I love this podcast that I still don't follow, that it constantly recommends other podcats similar to it (which I also don't like). Why would it not default to episodes of podcasts I actually follow for autoplay?!?
It does this to me too. It used to autoplay new episodes of other podcasts I follow. Now it does the opposite and only autoplays other podcasts that aren't even remotely similar (which I have zero interest in) exclusively. It's as though Spotify is constantly working to make this platform as unbearable for its users as possible, especially when it comes to podcasts! Too bad millions of users will have to vote on this issue for it to even be considered as something to look into by the company. Posting here feels like a waste of time because the vast majority of frustrated users won't go through the trouble, especially knowing it's unlikely to result in a practical solution or even considered to be changed by the company.
