My Question or Issue

I have a collaborated playlist shared with my boyfriend. I realised we can only add 50 songs to this list and adding more songs means Spotify will remove the older ones. We would like to have more than 50 songs in one shared playlist so is there something I should change in my settings?

Thanks!

Hey there @Dynetha,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

You can add more than 50 songs to a collaborative playlist, so this is indeed odd. Perhaps you're seeing a Blend? Remember that a Blend is a shared playlist that combines the music you and other people in a playlist to listen to. It updates daily with songs based on all of your listening activity. A maximum of 50 tracks can be shared over this playlist.

Other people in the Blend can add their friends. Remember Blends are updated automatically, and you cannot add songs to them as they're based on your listening activity. In that sense, we'd suggest you make sure the playlist in question is not a Blend. You can recognize those as their playlist cover looks like this:

Now, if you've created a collaborative playlist but is not working as expected, then we'd suggest you create a copy by going to its three-dot menu> Add to other playlist. Then make sure to follow these steps to invite the collaborator once more.

If the issues persist after creating a copy, then it'd be really helpful if you sent us a video recording of what you kindly mentioned. You can attach it in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and make it public, so we can visualize it.

Keep us in the loop!
