My Question or Issue
Hi all , my Toyota Corolla 2019 continually shows Track 1 on the display even if I'm on track 2 onwards in an album, it does it in a playlist I have and any album I play , hoping someone might be able to come up with any suggestions to try remedy this , I've already rebooted the infotainment and my phone , deleted and repaired the Bluetooth connection, thanks
Hey @Edgie70,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community.
To continue investigating this, would you mind pairing a different device to the infotainment system (using your own account) to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out.
If the issue persists, could you try using a different type of connection, like an AUX cable, to see if this behavior persists? Additionally, make sure that there aren't any firmware updates available for your car's stereo.
Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.
Hi , thanks for your reply, I've tried a different device connected via Bluetooth and it still shows Track 1 even if I'm on track 6 for example, does Spotify have embedded in the app the track number ? Or does it just display titles and not number? Thank you
Hey @Edgie70,
Thanks for keeping us in the loop and for all additional details!
We've looked into this further, and using the info you provided, we can see that this is currently the expected app experience. The track that is currently playing will be listed as 1, as it's first track in the play queue. This means that the track's actual placing in the album won't be displayed on the car's screen.
Hope this clears things up! The Community is here for you, should anything else appear.
Hi , thanks for your reply, I'm not sure what you mean tbh , I'm playing an album by an artist , for example Bon Jovi, the album is These Days .
Hey there @Edgie70,
Thanks for following up!
Just to make sure that we're on the same page here, do you experience a similar app behavior as mentioned in this thread?
Should you experience something different, however, it would be great if you could send us some more details on what's happening from your end. Feel free to include a video or photo too, so that we can have a closer look as well and get a better view of the issue.
We'll keep an eye out for your reply 🙂
Hi , yes it is , this is track 6 of an album I'm playing ( Rainbow - Bent out of shape ) and as you can see it shows Track 1 on my infotainment screen
Hi @Edgie70,
Thanks for the info.
For the time being, the explanation provided earlier by @Maria still stands. It seems that since the track is listed as the first in the queue, it will appear as track 1 on the display. Rest assured though, we'll happily pass your feedback onto the appropriate team. Be advised however that we cannot say for certain at the moment when or if this is going to get addressed.
If there's anything else we can do for you, let us know.
Hey there you, Yeah, you! 😁 Welcome - we're glad you joined the Spotify Community! While you here, let's have a fun game and get…
