My Question or Issue

When I listen to "This Week in Startups," there are 2 common recurring issues: 1) The episode stops at random times and takes me several minutes of quitting the app and restarting the episode to get the episode to play (this also happens when I try to restart) and 2) When I try to fast forward or rewind by 15 seconds, it fast-forwards to the end of the episode (or with ~15 seconds remaining).

 

I have tried to replicate the issue on other podcasts with video (JRE, Lex Fridman), but I have not noticed this issue.

 

Any idea what could be causing this? Is there a certain setting I should consider changing?

This issue could be related to some corrupted app data. Would you mind doing a reinstall of the app on your iPhone as described here?

 

if that doesn't solve the issue, could you send us a link to the podcast in question and let us know your exact Spotify version. This will help us look into the matter further.

 

Also, tell us if this is happening on any of your other devices?

Thanks so much, Alex. The full re-install worked. A lot of other podcasts had stopped working in the meantime, so your suggestion about corrupted data seems likely. Appreciate your help!
