Trouble with Local Files...

Solved!

Trouble with Local Files...

Im having mind wrenching pains over this horrendous problem. I have searched for about an hour to an hour and a half to try to locate a solution to this problem, but to no avail. My specific problem is that Local Files on the desktop app (windows 7) wont show up and when they do they're unplayable. I have brief success with one solution which was to uninstall reinstall then check, well yes they did show up they were not able to be played or sorted, I added one to a specific playlist and it did work. I was able to play that song but I went back to the local files and they were all gone again. I have made sure that they're not protected, and that they are the correct file type. I have tried every solution that I have seen either on the forums or elsewhere. Mod MattSuda said in a previous post that it was a bug and that it were to be fixed soon... Well this was written like 3 weeks ago. Im just curious if there is a fix to this that I have not tried, and also curious on why this hasn't just been hotfixed.

I've been told this should be fixed in version 1.0.7 which is rolling out

When you get the new version, try a reinstall and see if you still have the problem. If so, post back here.

Which version of the desktop app are you using?

This should have been fixed in version 1.0.6, but if people are still having trouble I can report it.

I believe it's the most recent i've tried to update, and I also uninstalled and reinstalled

Thanks for checking.

I've passed this thread on and I'll see if I can get more information about this by Monday-Tuesday.

Version 1.0.7 is currently rolling out to users, so if you happen to get the update soon, check to see if you still have the problem after a reinstall.

I have 1.0.7.157.g2a6526f9 and it still shows as blank. (OS X 10.9.5)

I have version 1.0.8.59.gee82e7e6 and it is still not fixed. The only reason I haven't already switched to Google Music is because I've been too busy to upload my files to their cloud. At this point, it's a race between this getting fixed or finding some time to do that.
