Unable to Log In to Spotify Live with Primary Account

My Question or Issue

I was invited to a Fan's First event scheduled for tomorrow morning. I was told to download Spotify Live to access it. I downloaded the app and it prompted me to log in. I attempted to do so with my Spotify account information, but I received an error message.

I was able to make an account there and I can view live rooms, but my primary concern is that I will not be able to access this Fan's First event without being logged in to my Spotify account attached to the email I received the invite to.

Can I access the live room with an account I made specifically for Spotify Live? Or am I out of luck since I cannot use the email associated with the invite?

My wife and I are Premium Users with the Family Plan and in exactly the same position.

We got invites to view the Ghost fan chat event via email and where told to download Live.  We did and clicked the "Continue With Spotify". We get told we don't have a Spotify Live account and would we like to register a new one (despite that we are logged in to Spotify while doing this).
I though perhaps we should click the "Log In" button below and use our Spotify account log in details.  Our Log Ins are tied to Facebook so it asks for user name and password and has no option for Facebook log in.  No matter what I try it has the same result - username and password not valid.

At this point I go back to the "Continue With Spotify" option and create an account figuring there will be some way to link the accounts inside the app.  There isn't.  As far as I can tell the new Spotify Live account does not have any connection to my actual Spotify account.

At this point I am under 2 hours away from the event, trying to do my day job and wasting a ton of time on a system that seems designed to be as difficult as possible.

Live is a great idea but has terrible execution.

This seems to be a recurring problem that Spotify has absolutely no
interest in solving. I saw a thread from last year mentioning this issue
and not a single soul responded. Neither community member nor Spotify staff
offered any assistance.

I'm waiting on the Ghost live event as well, in fact. I'll be pretty sore
if I miss out because Spotify refuses to fix a persistent issue.

I can only hope that when they send the details as to how to join an hour
in advance, that I can join without the account tied to the email through
which I was invited. Otherwise we and likely many others will be out of
luck.

Yes, that is more than a little frustrating especially when paying premium for a service.
I was thinking the same thing that basically I would wait for the link to come out and see if that did anything.

My wife emailed the support link on the email we received so if she gets any update from that I'll let you know what they said.

Well, I guess I missed out. I got on live when it went up and I guess there's so many people on live that it crashed the app. It's been stuck on a perpetual loading screen since the exact moment Ghost went live.

If you got in, I guess let me know please what they said if it was anything important.

I didn't get in, but did find out some things from some of the waiting rooms that popped up.

Apparently someone leaked the password to the room on Twitter. 20 mins after the room went up it was closed saying it had reached capacity. Reddit and Twitter are blowing up with rage. Rumors are flying everywhere about do overs with a new room, the room being crashed, some saying it ran for a while, some saying it never got past the set up stage. This is a mess of epic proportions.

Once Live actually let me in I got into one of those rooms a few minutes after the event actually was supposed to start. So I heard about that. 

This is why we can't have nice things. They probably just wanted to give other fans a chance to join, but this was supposed to be by invitation only. Sucks that those of us who RSVP'd may not get a chance to participate in this now.

Spotify should try to implement an individual password system for this reason exactly. Oh well.
