Why are podcasts not available in Venezuela yet but the option for it shows

In the app available for Venezuela the option for podcasts is already showing up, however when you click on any of the categories displayed, nothing happens. The same thing occurs when you try to follow a link for a specific podcast. Am I the only one having this issue? I thought podcasts were already available here but now I'm not sure.

We can confirm that podcasts aren't officially available in Venezuela yet. While we're unable to say when/if podcasts will launch in your country, rest assured we'll post an update in our For the Record blog as soon as we have any new information to share on this.

Uso spotify desde hace años, hace poco ae habilito para Venezuela. Pero caso curioso es que no se pueden ver, ni escuhar podcast en la plataforma.

No puedo escuchar podcast desde mi cuenta de Spotify

Necesitamos que se habiliten los podcasts en Venezuela!

Lamentablemente desde que habilitaron Spotify para Venezuela, solo ha sido con su biblioteca musical (Eso sin detallar que por temas de derechos, hay artistas y material musical que no esta disponible para todos los paises). Mas no con los Podcast, solo estan disponibles para otros países para los cuales sin tienen derechos de distribución de los mismos. Todo es un tema de permisos y derechos que debe cumplir Spotify para poder distribuir este servicio en cada pais en el que funciona. Esta información la vengo recopilando a traves de articulos, participación en redes sociales y experiencia propia desde los primeros dias que Spotify se permitio usar "sin restricciones" en Venezuela.

If the Podcasts section is missing from the app then this would mean that podcasts are currently unavailable in your region. Availability of certain content and features is based on a variety of factors, such as the licensing agreements for the countries and may therefore vary from one region to another.

My Question or Issue

I wanted to listen to some favorite podcasts through Spotify and realized that I could not find a single podcast.

Podcasts are not displayed in the search results, there are no podcasts in the Browse All section or on the home page. I tried Desktop app, web player, Android and iOS apps.

If I go directly to the podcasts section being logged in it is completely empty, but if I log out - podcasts are there.

Is there any regional restriction on podcasts or setting that hid them?

Hi! I've been using Spotify for years, and became premium 3 years ago. Yet, due to regional restrictions, I (as well as many other users) haven't been able to listen to any kind of Podcasts or Audiobooks.

I understand there's a problem with protecting copyright in countries like Venezuela (where my account is based), BUT we are still paying for this service, and we don't have any advances on this issue.

Is there a way to negotiate this?

1. En la app no aparecen los podcast ni audio libros es como si no existieran, desde que abrí la cuenta nunca los he podido escuchar ya que ni siquiera aparecen, no lo entiendo. En la barra superior en la pantalla principal literalmente solo están el "Todas" y "Música" sólo eso.
