Why can't I play certain songs

I find an album or song I want and add it to my playlist but when i clickclick play a totally different song plays

Welcome to the Community and thanks for reaching out!

Are you on Premium or on Free? If you're on Free, keep in mind that you can only play in Shuffle mode (with a few exceptions, like some of the curated playlists made by Spotify), so maybe that's why a different song starts playing when you press the big green Play button.

In any case, a short screen recording which shows how things look on your end would be greatly appreciated. That way we can get a clear understanding of what you mean.

this isnt true at all. If you have an older version of the app and on a FREE SPOTIFY ACCOUNT it still works. Why do i have to keep an older version of an app for it to work. Spotify’s answer = pay for premium ! EASY ! Getting scammed
