hardware - Harman/kardon - avr151

hardware - Harman/kardon - avr151

 Lately when I use spotify connect with my Harman/kardon avr151S the sound is totally fragmented.
Spotify on my phone and desktop works fine so its not a router or line problem.
My receiver is connected with cat 6 wire. I have tried to change cable and port but nothing works.
The on screen display shows that it casually brakes and play randomly (a video is attached).

Hey @yaronh

Could you check if your Speakers firmware is up to date?

Does this solve the problem?

Hey

I didn't find any update available on Harman/kardon website.

@yaronh

Could you try a clean reinstall and see if this helps, This usually fixes most problems 🙂

Note: This will remove any saved offline tracks and cache 🙂

The problem is with the receiver.
I have already tried to install a fresh copy of Spotify on my win/iPhone.

@yaronh

I am going to escalate this to Spotify staff 🙂

Hopefully we'll have a Answer to this soon 🙂

Grate
Tnx

Hey @yaronh

Just Spoke with staff:

  1. Does this occur when you use the speaker with other apps?
  2. If you log in with another account, do you still experience this issue?

It's a receiver (amplifier) , not a speaker set.
It has no app. It is certified for Spotify connect.
I use the Windows or Apple app to activate it.
It can connect to other music steaming services over the Internet such as
Vtuner and there it works fine.
I don't have any other account I can check it with.

@yaronh

Thanks for getting back to me with that!

I have sent the info over to Spotify 🙂

An attachment with a vid and a snapshot is provided in the post. It may be
useful for understanding the problem.

@yaronh

Just spoke with Spotify, They seem its best you contact Spotify support so they can take a look into this 🙂 (preferably Twitter, it's faster, but whatever suits you is fine :))

You can contact support on twitter @SpotifyCares Or you can email Support here.

If you receive a No-Reply email that says to check out the FAQ or Community just reply to that email and Spotify support will contact you 🙂

Support takes 24-48 hours to reply to you if they have not replied to you by tomorrow you can ask me here and I will escalate the issue for you 🙂

I hope this helped solve your issue 🙂

Tnx
I will try them

Hello Yaronh.

Did you managed to fix the problem you had back in March last year with Spotify stutering on your HK AVR as I am now having the same problem?!

Thank you in advance

I have the same amp HK avr 151 and I am also having the same problem, fragmented sound with spotify. Now spotify cannot see the amp and I cannot play spotify at all through my clinic. has anyone found an answer to this issue?

Hey all!

Actually there used to be a firmware update for the avr151s in Asia a year ago. Since the Asia model is identical to the European one I could install it with no problem. GUI is still English and Spotify works like a charm now.

I don't know why, but the update is not available online anymore.

But I still have a copy of it.

So if your firmware version is older than 1.10 and you want the update file for 1.10, let me know.

Note that it worked for me but I will no way take any responsibility for this.
