Hi, why I can't set up extreme quality streaming with Spotify operating on PC, as there is only option for high quality streaming? comparing with android phone where you can choose between high quality and extreme quality streaming.
also, is this quality streaming will be set up for both online and offline music? and can I get more acurae information on the bit rate for each option?
Solved! Go to Solution.
High quality on desktop is the same thing as extreme quality in the mobile app.
The only difference is that it's named high quality in the desktop app instead of extreme.
Both high quality on desktop and extreme quality on mobile are 320kbps bitrate.
When you turn on high quality in the desktop app, this will also apply to offline songs.

Thanks Matt Suda for your quick reply, just one more question, for those songs which I have already downloaded for offline usage in the past before the upgrdae to the high quality music (and I have many of them), do I need to download them again now to get the high quality music?
Yes, I think you would have to redownload them.
You're welcome!
Thanks Matt, wow lots of work to redownloaded all my playlist or at least the best part of it (good time to refresh this list). BTW, what is the bitrate of the music I have downloaded in the past without the high quality setup? thanks again for all your support!
