My password and email are correct, but I cannot log in to my account

Thanks for the post.

 

Here's what you can try to log in:

  • Make sure you're entering the correct email address. Sometimes you can make a mistake with the domain - @google.com/@yahoo.com for example. 
  • Make sure your account matches the country you're currently in. If you've been abroad for more than 14 days, your account will be automatically locked by the system. Go on your account page and make sure the country set on the account is the one you're in. More info here
  • If none of that helps, send us a screenshot of the error message you're receiving and we'll investigate this further.

I have my Spotify account on my phone but I can't manage to log in on my Mac, why?

 

Hey @Bethel1!

 

Could you let us know the exact error message you're seeing when trying to log in? If you haven't already, try changing the proxy settings of the app to No proxy to see if that does the trick:

  1. On the login screen, click Settings.
  2. Set the Proxy type to No Proxy, then restart Spotify.
