"can't connect to spotify. trying again now" message on Internet Explorer since yesterday

Hi.

Can someone help me please, because i'm receiving this message while i'm using the Spotify webplayer since yesterday on Internet Explorer...Do others have the same trouble to connect with https://play.spotify.com/ when they want to listen to their music ? What can be done to solve this ?

Hi!

I have the same message. 😞
Looking at the console it seems that they have killed this player now. Troubles dowloading content.

Sad...

I guess it's now either open.spotify.com or alternatives. Desktop client wants too much from my memory.

Thanks for the answer. My advice : use Spotify on Google Chrome... It works !

Oi!

Enjoy! For me it doesn't work. It might work tomorrow, though, but since it's an old player...

I am now off to hunt for a functional scrobbler add-on. 😉

I have exactly the same problem..I use play.spotify and since yesterday afternoon it's messed up.Usually it starts playing a song and after a while it just crashes and this message appears.I tried both Chrome and Firefox,no luck. What is going on?

Hi @kstat!

Thinking that play.spotify.com is now unsupported by the servers.
It won't play anything anymore and occasionally loses connection.
Maybe it will work again tomorrow, maybe not. Worth checking.

(found a working scrobbler. from now on I use Spotify on Chrome....)
