spotify webplayer isnt playing any songs

(Windows 10) i use chrome

My Question or Issue

 My spotify webplayer isn't playing any music and theres no album picture showing on the bottom left when I click play on a song. The only thing that shows up is the songs album name on my "Recently played" section.

Things i've tried to do: 

- log out of all other sessions

- check if spotify connect was on

- reconnect my wifi

- use a different wifi connection on the same

- made sure that "Allow sites to play protected content" under chrome://settings/content was on
