web spotify and desktop spotify playlists not syncing

Hi, per subject line, my web spotify and desktop spotify playlists are no longer syncing.   I never had this issue before, only noticing last Friday.  I load playlists at work to the web spotify application, then when I get home I can transfer over my wifi to my phone.  

Same login names.

I logged off from my desktop, and logged on again, and the playlists were now in sync.

Any idea as to what happened?
