Can I switch to Family if I have an account with 12mo paid?

Hi - I have a premium account with 12 months prepaid - my account next renews in November 2019.  But I'd like to join a family account with my partner; is that possible? How will that work with the months I've already paid?

Thanks for posting this. No worries, if you'd like, you can start or join a Premium for Family plan right away, provided that your subscription was set up through Spotify directly.

If you'd like to join your partner's Premium for Family plan, future payments switch to the plan owner's and any Premium time remaining from your prepaid (Premium) subscription will resume when you leave the family plan.

However, if you want to start your own Premium for Family plan and invite your partner, your payment date will likely be earlier than it had been, so it’ll renew earlier than November 2019 and you'll start getting charged the monthly Family plan rate. This is because of the difference between the price of Premium for Family and the regular Premium subscription you already subscribed to.
