Hello all,
All of a sudden i can't play music anymore to my Sonos speakers.
We have a Family account. All members have no problems with Sonos. When i create a new member in the family and login with that new account, all works perfectly. It's a strange member thingi. How can i solve this ? Problem is that i am the Host of the Family account and don't want to loose my own account settings.

hello all,
it's solved but still a strange problem and still dont know why only my account had problems (2 cell phones and a laptop) and others in the Family Plan, not.
anyway... i did the following:
i have 2 symfonisk (ikea) speakers. they were usually paired as a stereo set without problems.
i unpaired them to 2 separate mono speakers (lets say A en B).
i could stream to A, but not to B with spotify!
Stopped Spotify.
i could stream to both by using the Sonos app. and listening to a radiostation without problems.
strange huh ?
I paired (with the sonos app.) A with B... again problems with Spotify.
unpaired them again
Paired B with A.... problem solved.
that was the trick for me. i still dont understand why and how 😉
sorry for my wacky english. If you want to see the solution in dutch language, click the link to the Sonos Forum.
Hey @Vloetje,
Thanks for the post.
Try to remove your SPotify account from Sonos and then link it again. More info on how to do that - here.
Hope this helps. Don't hesitate to reahc out again if you have questions.
Hello Alex,
I tried that allready, also with another spotify account. It does not help.
Strange thing is that when i press the speaker icon in spotify, the current sonos music stops playing and a connection must be built up. That last built up step does not seems to work and the icon keeps flashing 😞
All is on the same network and wifi. Did a lot of restarts too.
Hey @Vloetje,
Thanks for the info 🙂
Could you check if the issue persists when you log in to your account on another device and then try using the speakers?
If nothing changes, you can send us a video recording of what you're seeing. We'll look into this further.
Keep us posted.
