Can't update credit card with Premium Family

Can't update credit card with Premium Family

I need to update my credit card info for Premium Family account. I am trying to update using Safari or Google Chrome on a Mac.

Under Payment --> Saved payment cards, it states: To manage payment details for your monthly subscription, go to Account overview.

Under Account: there is not an option.

Under Subscription --> Manage your subscription: There are options to Change Plan or Cancel subscription. If you click on Change plan, it gives you options for other plans. No option for payment updates.

Hey! Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Can you let me know if you’re a plan manager for Premium Family (the one who started the subscription) or a member (invited to join the plan)? If you are a member, you won’t see options to update your payment method because you are not responsible for making payments to the account, only the plan’s manager. 

 

If you are the plan’s manager and cannot see the option to update your payment method, I would recommend attempting to update your payment method again using a different browser or private window?

Hi Billy Have similar issue to that suggested in your answer above. I am the account manager and need to change credit card details. One of my children set up my version of spotify and is the default account name....not me (the manager). Obviously when I try to log in (as them) they have no access to 'change credit card details'. I guess my question is how to change the account nominee on my desk top from him to me.

Thanks for your post. You, the plan manager should only have access to change payment details for the Premium Family plan. You can manage the payment details following these steps. If one of your children have joined your Premium Family plan, their original Premium subscription is canceled, as they are now under yours - which means that the payment method will not used from their account. 

 

If your child is the plan’s manager by accident, they will have to cancel the Premium Family plan (will continue to have access until the next billing date), wait for the account to revert to Free, and then you can subscribe to Premium Family again and send an invite to all members. Throughout this process, no one on the plan will lose access to their saved content, so no need to worry about content being lost.
