Can't upgrade to Family Premium

My Question or Issue

I want to upgrade my plan from Premium to Family, but I'm getting an error message. I think this may be because I pay through Google Play, so may have set up the account through that.

 

If I cancel my account and set up a new one, will I be able to find and resave the playlists I have set up? Or will I need to redo them all?

Thanks for reaching out.

 

There's no need to create a new account, you can just follow these steps to cancel your subscription. You should also be able to cancel it directly through Google Play.

 

Once your subscription has ended, please try subscribing to Premium Premium using your existing account at https://spotify.com/family. 🙂

Hi, I'm already on premium duo but want to upgrade. If I cancel the subscription, will I still be able to upgrade? Spotify says something about inly changing subscription once every 12 months. Thanks

Yeah, I don't see anything that would prevent you fron doing that. The 12 months policy doesn't apply here, since you'll still be using the same account as before.
