Cannot add family member says she is in a different country.

Cannot add family member says she is in a different country.

I'm trying to add my little sister to our family plan. It says she is lives in another country, she has tried clearing cookies, cache, using a different browser, using the GPS to set the location, using manual entry but it won't allow the invite to go through. 

 

 

It seems to be some kind of a cached location on Spotify's end/on the server. 

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community and welcome.

 

Considering what was already tried, if your sister is currently on the free version of Spotify it'd be great to ask her to access her Account page and manually edit her country settings (Account overview > Profile > EDIT PROFILECountry).

Hi Mario,

When I subscribed to Premium Family, I'm in Hong Kong. But when I'm back in Singapore, I changed the payment & country Singapore (successful), but my account profile still show Hong Kong. Now I cannot add my family member (current premium account) in Singapore as they said I'm living in a different country from them. Please help.

Do you mind resubscribing to Premium Family by doing the following:

  • cancel your subscription
  • wait for your account to revert to free
  • sign up for Premium Family again, making sure to use a local payment method?

Hopefully that should do the trick, and your account should be set to Singapore so that you can add your family member to your Family plan.
