Change from Premium to premium Family

Change from Premium to premium Family

hi,

 

I want to close My old Premium account and change it to a Premium Family. I did pay for the Family Account, and sent the invitation to the rest of the family. But my Premium account does not change to the Family accont instead I get flashes that my payment doesn’t go through (old card for the premium account).

 

how do I change from to the family account? 

 

I must say say it’s incredible anoying not to be able to call a HUMAN that quickly can help!

Sorry to hear about your troubles!

 

Just to make sure I know what is going on:

 

  • Did you cancel you're Premium before moving to Family Premium?
  • Are you paying for Family at the moment?

If there are any other details you can provide, that will help a lot!

i have not canceled my Permium account. Shall I do that? Will I keep my music? 

 

Yes, I believe I pay for Premium Family. I got a “welcome” e-mail.

 

so - what shall I do?

Hi Jordan,

Yes, Spotify made a withdrawal (for the premium family) the 12 of February.

If you head over here, you can let Spotify know and they will get this fixed.

 

If you ever want to change your subscription it is a good idea to cancel first to avoid any double ups! 

 

Hopefully this is fixed soon for you!

Dear Jordan,

Now I canceled My premium account.

When I log in I now have a free account not a family premium account.

How do I get my family premium account to work?

Hey @martavera1,

 

If the rest of your family still have premium, let the fine folks at SpotifyCares on Twitter or Facebook know and they will get it sorted for you! You'll need to have your receipt as proof of purchase and they will get the subscription up and running again as soon as possible!

Before getting in contact with Spotify support, please follow this guide to finding any other accounts you might have subscribed to Premium and let me know if this helps.

 

It looks like you have more than one Spotify account.
