My Question or Issue

Hi Guys,
my question is mostly added in title: I want to change subscription from Spotify Duo to Spotify Family. My wife is a partner in Duo and has lots of stuff saved on hers account (playlist, settings, audiobooks etc.). And I wish to know that, when I change subscription type, all of her stuff will be saved and will pass to new type of subscrition?
Thank You
Michal

Hi @Michal_Piatkowski

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome!

No worries, changing subscription plans won’t cause anyone to lose their playlists, saved music, or settings.

However, note that when your plan switches to Premium Family, your wife’s account will revert to the free plan and you’ll need to re-invite her to the new Premium Family plan. Since downloaded music for offline listening is a Premium feature, she’ll need to re-download any music for offline listening once she’s joined the new Premium Family plan.

You can change your plan from Premium Duo to Premium Family by following these steps:

  1. Log into your account page.
  2. Under Your plan, click Change Plan.
  3. Select Spotify Premium Family.

At your next payment date, your billing and account will switch to the Premium Family plan, and your wife’s account will switch to the free plan. You can then invite your wife to the new Premium Family plan by following the steps in this support article.

Bear in mind to accept the invite, the other member must live at the same address as the plan manager. Also note that members can only switch between different Premium Family or Premium Duo plans once a year.

You can also read more about how Premium Family works in this FAQ article.

Let me know if you have any other questions, and have a good day!
