Configurate radio plays in kids app

My Question or Issue

I want to configurate the kids app for my 8 years old daughter. She loves radio plays.

The offered Radio play section is quite nice but I want to "hide" some plays which I find are to scary for her e.g. "Die drei ???".
On the other side a lot of plays which are offered in den "normal" spotify app not shown in the kids radio play sections e.g. Paw patrol, Patterson und Findus, Wieso-Weshalb-Warum, ... Is there any chance to confiscate that for my daughter other than share my own configrated playlists (which would be a lot cause you need a playlist for every radio play sequence > 100) Thx.

Thanks for coming to the Community.

You have two options here: you can either create and share playlists or block individual episodes of the content.

Keep in mind that episodes can only be blocked if they appear in the Listening History. You can find more details about this in this article in case you’d prefer the second option.

thx for your replay.

The two option are unfortunately not really userfriendly. 

Option 1: Create and share e.g. 300 playlists, one for each episode, needs a lot of effort ...

Option2: Blocking: You have to play each track (from at least 20)  from one of the 150 episodes you want to block and than block each played track of the episode ...

It's really too bad that spotify doesn't develope a user-friendly possibility to configure spotify kids for our kids. Above all they want the extra money for the family account ....

I understand your frustration, but unfortunately, there’s no alternative solution at the moment.

I did find a similar idea here that you can vote for. If that doesn’t quite fit your needs, you can also submit a new idea. 🙂

Hey Guys

My family is new into Spotify Family and therefore Spotify Kids. The idea behind Spotify Kids is great, but the design is not. Especially our kids who wants to listen to audio books are struggling.

1.) Why cant we whitelist authors or whole series of some audio books like "Was ist was?" or "Ninjago"? It is so annoying to create and share playlists with the kids as a workaround. (And why is this kida stuff blacklisted per default at all?)

2.) If you search for a specific serie (e.g. Drei Fragezeichen Kids), you cant navigate properly. The order of chapters is messed up and it is almost impossible to listen a whole book in the right order. And: Why cant you select albums like in the regular Spotify App? 

Could you not fix that? If you just listen to audio books, Spotify Kids has no value for us because of this poor design.
