Daughter NOT accepted with her email --

Daughter NOT accepted with her email --


Incorrect username or password.  that is what my daughter gets when she accepts the invitiation to family account.  it is NOT accepting her email address to login with.  does not accept her password. 

 

I'm paying 20/month and can't add a daughter 

 

 

who do I give my info to for her to be approved.  she does NOT have a 2nd email address. it's my daughter with 1 email address that I gave her in family google management of email addresses.

Thanks for reaching out.

 

Has she tried resetting her Spotify account's password yet? If not, she can do that here.


Also, keep in mind that, if she has signed up for Spotify yet, she'll first need to sign up for an account before being able to log in.

there is misunderstanding. She does not have a spotify account.  She has been invited from my premium family subscription and spotify will not accept her making a new account.  when she enters in her email to start a spotify account via the invitation link she gets this message : "Incorrect username or password."   The invitation link is NOT allowing her to register a new account.

you may close this ticket.    the instructions via the link, etc. made it seem like you enter in email address and a password from the link to get a spotify account.  

 

HOWEVER  i finally figured out one had to scroll down and create a new spotify account separately from the initial link and email to fill out.  Your interface is not consumer friendly.  

 

Also from using the app it was impossible to figure out how to add family members. there is no help section on the app and it was pathetic.  I had to on a computer to try and figure out how to add family members.  

 

And why can't new members go into my family plan account and grab their playlists to import?    just asinine and ineffecient.

That’s a bit unusual! Normally, when opening an invite link, it should take her to a login page where she can either sign in with an existing account or create a new one.

 

If that’s not working as expected, she can try signing up for a Spotify account directly here: https://spotify.com/signup. Once her account is created, she should be able to use the invite link again to join your plan.
