My Question or Issue
When trying to upgrade to a family plan on the Spotify website, I continuously get the below error.
It directs me to the payment page, but when I click "Credit Card" or any other source of payment, it redirects me to the below error.
Hey there @nimitparikh13,
Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community.
We can confirm that due to new banking regulations introduced in your region, our payment providers may be unable to process recurring payments. We’re working on a fix as soon as we can, but it may take a while. In the meantime, you can get Premium by making a one-time payment.
In this case, we suggest that you try again using an incognito window and a different browser to check if that makes the difference.
Let us know how it goes.
Hey there @nimitparikh13,
Thank you for getting back with us!
Unfortunately the link you sent us with the screenshot is not opening. You can attach the picture to your next response by using the Insert Photos option in the post editor, this way we can take a closer look at the issue, just make sure that no private info is shown.
Keep us posted.
Hey, please find attached. My apologies.
So basically - once I reach this screen & try to click on any plan & method to pay - it redirects me to the original image posted where the error is that I am not eligible for this plan.
Hi there @nimitparikh13,
Thank you for your reply and confirmation.
In this case we suggest that you cancel your subscription and try again.
If that doesn't do the trick we recommend that you wait until your account reverts to our free version and then try again.
Let us know how it goes 🙂
Take care!
Hi,
I am on a monthly subscription - so I will not be reverting to free unless I cancel. And I don’t want to cancel since I don’t want to lose access to all my previous songs.
Surely there must be another way?
Hey @nimitparikh13,
Thanks for getting back to us 🙂
In this case it's a good idea to try cancelling the subscription as @Jeremy mentioned.
No worries. Even if the account reverts to free service, you can still play your playlists. The subscription doesn't affect your music. If you want to listen to your favorite jams offline, you can download them again after upgrading to Premium.
