Family Account Confusion

Family Account Confusion

I started a family account but there aren't any actual clear instructions on how to get this started. I entered the incorrect information for the owner... it was infact someone I was inviting. Well then I found out I can't change the owner, and that I have to Cancel and Leave. Well I cancelled and tried to sign up again... correctly. but its still recognizing my husband as the owner of the account and he's the person I'm trying to invite. How do I get his info completely removed from the account??

Hey @TinaTina,

Thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to change the address registered on an existing Premium for Family plan.

If you enter the wrong details, you need to create a new account and subscribe to Premium for Family on that account. Don’t forget to cancel the plan on your old account 🙂

but that means I would have to start all over again with saving songs and playlists??

You could reach out to Support and have them transfer all your stuff from your current account to a new one.

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the Knowledgebase or the Spotify Community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address. Spotify Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.
