Family Plan Account Types

Family Plan Account Types

I signed up to the Family Plan but I only appeared to be able to give my children Spotify Kids accounts, which doesn't have all their music on, so I cancelled it. Has this now changed or is there any plan to change this? 

I found there was no point us having the Family Plan as my children would just log into my account to listen to their playlists and music. If they could have the same account type, I would be very keen to sign back up to it.

Any advise / feedback / comments would be much appreciated.

I think there was a little confusion when using the Family Plan. When you subscribe to this plan, you'll be able to invite other users to join your plan, but it doesn't create accounts for them. Those other users you want to invite to be part of your plan must have an account already created (on the free tier). You can find all the info about it in this article.

 

However, there's an option to "create" an account in your family plan, but it's for the youngest to use Spotify Kids, which is a standalone app for them to have on their own devices. You can find more details about it here.
