Family Premium (ADDITIONAL CHARGES)

Family Premium (ADDITIONAL CHARGES)

I have 2 spotify accounts. I only use one, and have been paying for this one account for over 2 years. Approximately 10 months ago my family decided to get the Family Plan on Spotify and added my account to it. I cancelled my active account before I was added to the family plan and the next day I was then able to listen to music without ads so I assumed the family plan was now active. However, it has come to my attention that the account that was added to my family plan was the inactive one that I have not used at all and that I was being charged on my active account for Spotify Premium! I am confused as to why Spotify has charged my account even though I cancelled my subscription? Will I be able to be reimbursed?? Please advise.

Hey @n27!

The first thing to do is check your email for a Confirmation Email. Each user receives one after cancelling their Spotify subscription. If you didn't complete the cancellation from there, you account never will be canceled.

You can follow step by step process of cancellation from here.

Unfortunately if the account was not canceled there can't be a refund, in case it is an error, and your account was effectively canceled, reply this message, so I can call a Spotify employee.

What's a Spotify Rock Star, and how do I become one?

Hi! Thanks for your speedy response. I checked my email and I could not find a cancellation email as I often clear my email inbox quite often and there is the possibility that it was deleted. All I know is that I was listening to music with ads for a day and then the next day I didn't have ads so I was made to believe that my membership was temporarily cancelled and then redeemed when my family plan came into effect. If you were to check my account (@nicolenoronha) you will see that it has not been experiencing any activity at all and this is the account that is part of the family plan. My active account is (@ennsquared) and is the account that is being charged. What can you do for me to help rectify this?

If you want to cancel the suscription on your active account you should follow the steps that I put in the first reply.

It is a error selecting the accounts, but if your account was free for a day there are something strange, you should fill the contact form or contact Spotify team on Twitter.

I wish you receive a solution for your problem.

Greetings
