Family Subscription

I was going to purchase a yearlong Family Membership as our 'family gift' this year -- but it looks like I can't pay for a year in advance or purchase a gift card to use to pay the balance for the year, is that correct?

Yes, that is true - you aren't able to purchase a year of subscription unless if it's an offer, and also you can also purchase 12 months of Premium using the standalone Premium plan, not with the Premium for Family plan.
