Family plan won't let any of my kids join

Family plan won't let any of my kids join

I am trying to get my family set up on the family plan. My son had a premium account through iTunes. I've cancelled that subscription, which I assume will drop him to a free account and he'll be able to join the family plan when that premium subscription expires in a couple of weeks. 

 

However, when I sent the invitation to my other son, when he clicks on the invite to join, it says he cannot join the account either saying that he is already the member of another family plan, which he is not.  I am logged into the family plan account when the invite comes up on spotify.  I need someone to get on the phone with me to fix this, yet there appears to be no customer service at all. 

 

This seems a lot harder than it needs to be. I also learned today when cancelling my son's plan that we were paying 30% more through iTunes. WHY?  And why was I not notified of that? 

 

Please advise on how we get this solved.

I'd recommend making sure that your other son is logged into his own Spotify account when trying to accept the invite 🙂
