How can we add our home as a family member?

How can we add our home as a family member?

We have Spotify family with me and my husband as members. I want to set up a separate profile with “living room” as a family member to play Spotify at home at the same time my husband and I might be using it from our cars. My kids are 2 and 7 so too young to send a link to but I also want the living room account to be an adult account.

Hi there!

You can achieve that by creating a new Spotify account (with its own separate login details). Once the account has been created, the plan owner needs to invite it to the Family plan by following the steps here.

It's worth mentioning that group sessions could also work in your case, so feel free to also check the articles below:

Since your children are below the age of 13, they should use the Spotify Kids app instead. You'll find out more info about it here.

Hope this clears things up. Cheers!

Thank you. We tried this and I get the message “you’re already part of this family plan.” So it didn’t work. I guess I’d have to creat an email for my living room? Haha.

Hey @Jesswalton,

Thanks for getting back to us.

If you want an additional family account added to the plan - this account needs to have a different e-mail address registered.

If you've already done that but you're still getting an error message, you'd need to log out first and then re-open the invite and log back in with the new account.

Let us know how things work out. We'll be here in case you have any further questions about this.
