Is it really a family plan??

Solved!

Is it really a family plan??

Why does family have to live in the same household? You pay for your service so you should be able to share with your family.. the plan is called premium for family but you can't add your family if they don't live with you. Why can't they be like netflix or sling tv.. 5 different profiles but you can access netflix or sling from anywhere with no isp restrictions.. you can share your bill and use the app anywhere.. So if my son doesn't live with me because he's in college I won't be able to add him to my account.. this is not worth it. If they are allowing 5 different profiles than each person should be able to listen to music where ever they want.. these restrictions are getting outta of hand.. playstation vue does the same thing. You can be logged into 5 different devices but it has to be at the same ip address.. I do like spotify but these restrictions are too crazy!!

Hey @phillysell,

Welcome to the forums 🙂

I understand your frustration. As far as I understand Spotify have it set that way in order to stop people from outside the family sharing family account plans. I know from what you have said this is not the case with you as you are reffering to your son in this instance, so I really do undertsand your point.

Just a thought. But are you or your son aware that their is a Spotify student for people in selected uni'?
