My child can't download The Spotify app

My Question or Issue

My daughter is 9, we Have Spotify premium family order and we had a working application on her device for over a year - until she deleted The application by an accident today. And on Google play store there reads, that this application can't Be dowloaded because of The parental control. We also use family link, but even though I change settings it's impossible to get Spotify dowloaded. Can you please give us some advises or forward this feedback. I pay for this service and my child can't use the application at the moment. I'm quite dissappointed.

Thanks for your question. The standard Spotify app does have an age restriction in each country or region. You can read more about it here. 

In some countries we offer an additional app called Spotify Kids that is especially designed to be a personal, and safe place for kids under the age of 13 to start their music journey. We're working on expanding the markets this app is available in, and hopefully you'll see it in Finland soon.

It’s been two years apparently and I am not sure about Finland but I need the same app here in Türkiye as well 🙂 We are lucky that my son’s old phone has the app but we couldn’t download it on his new phone. We’ve got the parental controls and I don’t let him play games or use social media. I wish I had the option to choose the songs he can listen to on Spotify and he would still be able to enjoy discovering music on his own. Or the songs could be labeled as appropriate for kids and they could still use it. I am surprised this is still an issue when Facebook and instagram can mess up little ones’ mental health but listening to music on Spotify is prohibited.
