My spotify account was cancelled over the weekend, I have no clue why!

My spotify account was cancelled over the weekend, I have no clue why!

My spotify account was cancelled over the weekend, I have no clue why there was money in the account for the paypal debit. Not only that, my plan wasn't even due - it just bounced or something and then cancelled instantly. Anyways, I renewed it and now none of my kids or my wife can join the family plan. I would like this fixed or refund me and I'll go to apple music, I don't want too but this is insanity. Billing me early and then doing this is wild.

Hey @msomerville,

Thanks for reaching out.

Please share the exact error message they're seeing when they try to join the plan. 🙂

Also, did you receive a notification that your subscription has been canceled?

Let me know!

No, It was turned off without notification and it was PAID. No reason to be turned, paypal even said so. I am going to charge back the payment from the other if a solution isn't made. The error was  you cancelled my account, I paid again for the second time in August and it won't like my family join my premium family plan due to plan change within 12 months.

Hey @msomerville,

Thanks for letting me know!

Since you mentioned this is your second account, I’m curious if your first account was “cancelled” due to something specific—like missing a re-verification email for your Premium Family plan.

Just so you know, address re-verification emails are sent to both the plan owner and the members to confirm everyone’s eligibility. If this email is missed or overlooked, it can cause issues with staying on the plan.

If that sounds like what happened, you can contact Spotify’s support team here to see if they can help you rejoin the same Premium Family plan.

Keep in mind, though, that all users can only switch Premium Duo/Family plans (as a member) once every 12 months. They can always re-join the plan they were last in, though. Any other plan created by the same account would work too.

If the issue is different or you’re having trouble logging into your account, don’t hesitate to contact Support using the link mentioned earlier.

I hope this helps! 🙂
