Premium for family invite

Premium for family invite

When my daughter opens the invite link, she gets the message “you can’t join your own plan.” I don’t get it. Is this because we have family sharing and she downloaded Spotify from the App Store through the cloud? She has an iphone7

Hi @mwoodard,

 

The message states she already has premium family. She should be able to login to spotify. Did she use spotify in the past, so before the invite? If so, she should be able to logon with that account.

She can also do a forgot password if she doesn't remember her password.

we keep getting this message when she opens the invite.  She has a free spotify account but not a premium account.  I'm trying to get her onto my premium family account. 

Hi @mwoodard,

 

The message is: you can't join your own plan. This would make sense when I would subscribe to family (so I'm the main account holder) and the I would invite myself. You don't have to send an invite to the main account.

 

If this doesn't apply to you, something else is going wrong. Please contact Spotify support. They can check what is going wrong here.
