Premium for family terminated

Premium for family terminated

Hi all, 

 

I've been using a Premium for Family account with the members of my family. I am the one who makes the payments to Spotify. Last payment was 5th of January. Today I wanted to open Spotify and start a song, but I could not because according to Spotify im using a free account. 

Anybody that knows how to solve this?

Hi @Freak5ty8,

 

It sounds like Spotify just unsubscribed you from the Spotify Family account. Maybe your payment didn't go through. That you could check with your bank. 

 

Anyhow I would try to resubscribe over here and see if it lets you. Just double check that you're in your account (you never know) and try resubscribing. Does it let you do that?

Hey! Welcome to the Spotify Community 🙂

I'm not glad to hear that you are having trouble. May I ask you to confirm that the account you subscribed to and the one you are logging in to are the same? When you successfully upgrade to Spotify Premium, you receive a confirmation email. Please make sure, that when you are logging in to the account, you are using that username on the email. If its a ten digit number, use the log in with facebook tab.

Thanks for the fast reply 🙂

I have only one account, and it has worked for months now. So I'm quite
sure it is the same account.

I forgot to mention, my brother is (was) also on the Premium for family
subscription and when he opens Spotify and goes to his account page it also
says he's using the free version of Spotify.

Leo, you're the hero of the day!

Payment did indeed not go through, I resubscribed and everything is working
like it should again.

Would be a great idea for Spotify to show on the 'receipts' tab whether a
payment has been successful or not...
