Premium to family account

Premium to family account

I was a single subscriber. I cancelled my subscription and went to the free version.
Now I am back and recently when I renewed or reactivated my account I was given the option of a month of Spotify Premium $9.99. I thought to myself this is a great offer. But then I decided to give Spotify to the rest of my family members my three children and wife. I activated the family option. My question is I did all of this within 24 hours. Truthfully within about 30 minutes. What will I be billed? Will I get any sort of a discount or deal that reflects the three-month offer?

Hey @tignifamily, welcome to the community!

The billing for Spotify Premium is always paid for in advance. This means that any changes made to the subscription after getting Premium are pro-rated.

When you go from the regular $9.99 subscription to the $14.99 Premium for Family plan, the remaining days of Premium you had paid for are converted to the new plan. In this case, your next billing date is moved forward.

To confirm the change, you can check your next billing date anytime on your Account's Overview page.

Cheers.
