My Question or Issue

Hello, today we recognised that the sipping inside a playlist is limited for us. After about a certai amount of skips the skip button turns gray and we cannot skip back or forth anymore. We have an autistic son who likes to skip threw his playlist very fast and likes to repeat just secounds of a new titel but right now he can only do it for a very short time and the the skipping is disabled. It was possible before and we have no clue why it appeared out of nowhere. We are using family premium and as far as we know skipping is not limited in this package. It is the highest cost product and I really hope its an issue or mistake because I do not see a reason limiting the best and most expensive product.

Hi @Naegedi, and thanks for reaching out.

 

Indeed, all Premium subscriptions include unlimited skipping, so I'd suggest you to double check if your son is logged in the correct account. He might have more than one, since it's something quite common. 

 

If you're logged in his account now, just click on the link bellow:

It is a good advise but sadly I checked already if he was kicked of the subscription or if any other issue with the family premium memership appeared. Everything looks fine on our end but we still have the limitation. I also checked further and it is also affecting my wifes and my accout as well. As I said my sons account was checked before I posted the issue and I posted it because everything looks okay on our end.

I made a video so please check it out and/or maybe try it yourself on your account if it is blocking for you after several skips in the same playlist as well.

 

I really appreceated your try to help but if you or someone else has another idea it would help even more.

By the way, Is there a chance to contact Spotify directly or any support team? I did not find a direct contact for this, yet.

Hey @Naegedi,

 

Since every song in a playlist needs to "load" to be streamed if you're not offline, skipping extremely fast might affect the app's performance for the amount of commands they're giving it.

 

Can you please try skipping a little bit slower to see if it makes any difference?

 

Also, you could try downloading the content to see how it goes.
